Preparing for Feast of Trumpets
The feast of wine, Pentecost, and Tu B’Av have now past on all calendars and countless watchmen have had their understanding of scripture corrected when the Rapture didn’t happen. Only those who start their year a month too late because they don’t recognize the procession of the equinox are still waiting for the 9th of Av.
We are down to the fall feasts, starting with the Feast of Trumpets and ending at the “Solemn Assembly” known as the Atzeret on the 8th day of Tabernacles, which I believe is October 9th, 2024.
Feast of Trumpets on my understanding of the calendar is September 18th, less than 4 weeks away. I have several reasons to believe the rapture will not occur on Feast of Trumpets:
- Feast of Trumpets is the Feast of New Oil, and it is a Shemitah Year where harvest is forbidden; therefore, there is no new oil.
- It is the 49th year of a Jubilee cycle, which means Rosh Hashanah (Head of the Year) is moved to Day of Atonement, September 28th.
- The release of debts and freedom of the captives and returning of every man to his procession (inheritance) is not decreed until the Day of Atonement. This would make the rapture on 7/1 Trumpets pre-mature.
- Joel tells us it will be the Atzeret, the 8th day of Tabernacles
Blow the trumpet in Zion (warning), sanctify a fast (Atonement / Judgment), call an Atzeret (8th day of Tabernacles): gather (rapture) the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children and nursing babies: let the bridegroom (sun) go forth of his chamber (sunrise), and the bride (virgo) out of her closet. — Joel 2:15–16
How do we know Rosh Hashanah (aka Feast of Trumpets) is moved to the Day of Atonement at the end of a Jubilee?
In the 25th year of our captivity, in Rosh Shana, in the 10th day of the month, in the fourteenth year after that the city was smitten, in the selfsame day the hand of the LORD was upon me, and brought me thither. — Ezekiel 40
According to Ezekiel, Rosh Shana was held on the 10th day of the month in this particular year, which is the last year of the 16th Jubilee when the 1st year of the 17th Jubilee is sanctified. This is true, if and only if 1406 BC was the crossing of the Jordan River.
I have repeatedly stated the importance of the 1406 BC crossing of the Jordan river marking the first year of the 49 year Jubilee cycle and the 7 year shemitah cycle. The accuracy of this cycle is critical for timing the 7 year tribulation.
It is my understanding that 2024 is the 7th year of the 7th shemitah of the 70th Jubilee and is therefore a Shemitah year and a year in which the Jubilee starting in spring 2025 is consecrated.
Some people have attempted to challenge that understanding by pointing out the Jubilee in Hezekiah’s reign. So I spent substantial time researching the evidence for dating that year.
All of this effort leads me to the conclusion that there just isn’t sufficient evidence to independently pin point that year and that the text of the bible has many different ways that it could be interpreted, especially once you consider how the reigns of kings can overlap in undocumented ways.
In the fourteenth year of king Hezekiah did Sennacherib king of Assyria come up against all the fenced cities of Judah, and took them. — 2 Kings 18:13
There are clay tablets and eclipses that give us insight into the rule of the Assyrian kings relative to their wars against Israel and Judah. When we put everything together, it just isn’t possible for Hezekiah’s 14th year to be the actual year of the Jubilee. But what makes far more sense is the word “Shawnah” as in Rosh Hashanah which is commonly translated as “year” was actually being used in a different sense, that of a division of time, or a Jubilee.
I have previously demonstrated that Jeremiah’s 70 “years” and Daniel’s 70 “weeks” are most likely referring to the same 70 Jubilees starting from the Jordan crossing.
In the fourteenth ‘division of time’ aka **JUBILEE** with king Hezekiah did Sennacherib king of Assyria come up against all the fenced cities of Judah, and took them. — 2 Kings 18:13
This actually fits the timeline perfectly and demonstrates how evidence for 1406 BC Jordan crossing can be used to confirm the dating of Hezekiah, but that the other evidence for Hezekiah is not sufficient to establish the Jubilee cycle. If we move the Jubilee to the 14th year of Hezekiah then both the Shemitah cycle and Jubilee cycle would have to be adjusted.
One of the challenges in dating history is that a “King of Babylon” could refer to one or more regional “kings”, usually the sons of the ultimate ruler of Babylon. Evidence from this is found directly in the ancient manuscripts.
Not only that, then Ezekiel 40 would not line up with Rosh Hashanah and the extensive dating of the construction of Solomon’s temple would be off. But in doing this research I also discovered that the 16th Jubilee fell on the 18th year of Josiah where 2 Chronicles 34 documents that on this year the Book of the Law of YHUH was found and they celebrated the 2nd Passover. Very fitting for their inheritance, his word, aka Yeshua, to be restored to them on a Jubilee year.
On top of all of this, there is strong evidence Nehemiah completed the wall in 455 BC, which agrees perfectly with the 7th year of a Shemitah cycle.
Reading the Law on Feast of Trumpets
… and when the 7th month came, the children of Israel were in their cities. — Neh 7:73
And Ezra the priest brought the law before the congregation both of men and women, and all that could hear with understanding, upon the 1st day of the 7th month. — Neh 8:2
This day is holy unto YHUH your God; mourn not, nor weep. For all the people wept, when they heard the words of the law. — Neh 8:9
And on the second day were gathered together the chief of the fathers of all the people, the priests, and the Levites, unto Ezra the scribe, even to understand the words of the law. — Neh 8:13
Also day by day, from the first day unto the last day, he read in the book of the law of God. And they kept the feast seven days; and on the eighth day was a solemn assembly (Atzeret), according unto the manner. — Neh 8:18
They did this because it was Yah’s law as given by Moses.
And Moses commanded them, saying, At the end of every seven years, in the appointed time of the year of release, in the feast of tabernacles, When all Israel is come to appear before YHUH thy God in the place which he shall choose, thou shalt read this law before all Israel in their hearing. Gather the people together, men, and women, and children, and thy stranger that is within thy gates, that they may hear, and that they may learn, and fear YHUH your God, and observe to do all the words of this law: And that their children, which have not known any thing, may hear, and learn to fear YHUH your God, as long as ye live in the land whither ye go over Jordan to possess it. — Deut 31:10–13
Year of Release
And this is the manner of the release: Every creditor that lends to his neighbor shall release (forgive) it; he shall not exact it of his neighbor, or of his brother; because it is called the YHUH’S release. — Deu 15:2
And if the people of the land bring ware or any victuals on the sabbath day to sell, that we would not buy it of them on the sabbath, or on the holy day: and that we would leave (let go, release) the 7th year, and the exaction of every debt. — Nehemiah 10:31
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven… And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into trial and tribulation, but deliver us from evil (one). For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. — Matthew 6:13–15
This year, being the 7th year is the year of release, we need to be prepared to forgive everyone as we want to be forgiven. If we don’t forgive, then we will not be forgiven, and if we are not forgiven then he will send us into tribulation, into the hands of the evil one.
As you can see, according to the law, debts and sins are to be forgiven every 7th year. If not this year, then we must wait another 7 years. Moreover, we get our inheritance (our eternal bodies) on a Jubilee year, which means if not this year, then it won’t be for another 49 years.
Fasting on the 24th day, two days after the Atzeret
Back to Nehemiah, After reciting the entire history from Egypt to that time…
And because of all this we make a sure covenant, and write it; and our princes, Levites, and priests, seal unto it. Neh 8
If Judgment and rapture falls on the October 9th, the Atzeret, then the days after will fufill the following:
On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ — Matthew 7:22
Note that “that day” and Matthew 7 verse 22 is in perfect alignment with 7th month and 22nd day. With Yah, nothing is random. All of these people will instantly know they have been deceived because Yah will say:
And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’ — Matthew 7:23
Notice that “departing” is on the 23rd verse and people leave from Tabernacles on the 23rd day. Those who seek out the scriptures to understand what happened on October 9th will repent, fast, and mourn just like they did in Nehemiah.
You shall count 7 weeks of years, 7 times 7 years, so that the time of the 7 weeks of years shall give you 49 years. Then you shall sound the loud trumpet on the 10th day of the seventh month. On the Day of Atonement you shall sound the trumpet throughout all your land. And you shall consecrate the 50th year, and proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee for you, when each of you shall return to his property and each of you shall return to his clan. That 50th year shall be a jubilee for you; in it you shall neither sow nor reap what grows of itself nor gather the grapes from the undressed vines. For it is a jubilee. It shall be holy to you. You may eat the produce of the field. — Lev 25:8–12
When you come into the land that I give you, the land shall keep a Sabbath to the Lord. For 6 years you shall sow your field, and for 6 years you shall prune your vineyard and gather in its fruits, but in the 7th year there shall be a Sabbath of solemn rest for the land, a Sabbath to the Lord. You shall not sow your field or prune your vineyard. You shall not reap what grows of itself in your harvest, or gather the grapes of your undressed vine. — Lev 25
Chapter 7, verse 22–23
After seeing the Parallel for Matthew 7:22, I wondered what chapter 7 vs 22 said in other books of the bible, so I looked them all up and they are all very appropriate for the day. I also applied the same process to the Feast of Trumpets, by looking up Chapter 7, verse 1. This was my control case to see whether any random chapter/verse across all books is likely to contain a meaningful message.
Daniel
until the Ancient of Days came and pronounced judgment in favor of the holy people of the Most High, and the time came when they possessed the kingdom. — Daniel 7:22
