Daniel 9 Unsealed — The Rapture Timeline and The Covenant with Many Revealed
The Holy Spirit has guided my research and revealed an understanding of the most critical verses in Bible prophecy that has been hidden in plain sight all of these years.
Everyone talks about the covenant with many and is looking for Daniel’s “70th” week and for temple to be built so the sacrifices to begin again so the anti-christ can stop them in the midst of the tribulation. After what this post reveals is shown to you, you will be amazed at how completely wrong everyone has had it and will not be able to look at these verses the same way again.
This post will provide fresh insight into the translation and meaning of Daniel 9:24–27 that gives the timeline to the end. In my last post/video I addressed Daniel 9:24 and showed its connection to Jeremiah 25 and how there are 70 Jubilees from the crossing of the Jordan river in 1406 BC until the Day of YHVH (Day of the LORD) starting on the Day of Atonement 2024.
Seventy times seven ‘weeks’ (Jubilee) are determined upon your people and upon your holy city, to finish the transgressions and to make an end of sins and for the forgiveness of the iniquity and to bring in everlasting righteousness and to fulfill the vision of the prophets (Jeremiah) and to give the most holy to Messiah — Daniel 9:24 (Dr George Lamsa Bible — Aramaic Eastern Peshitta translation)
I will not revisit the proof of 70 Jubilees except to mention the additional confirmation that the count of Jubilees starts with the Jordan crossing. The following was found in The Apocrypha of Joshua, a fragment from the Dead Sea Scrolls: The Apocrypha of Joshua, Fragment 12
“1 [… the waters] which come down … 2 [… the waters] which come down stood piled up 3 […the sons of Israel cr]ossed over when it (Jordan) was dry, in the 4 [fi]rst month of the forty-fi[rst] year of their departure from the la[nd of] 5 Egypt; it was the year of the Jubilees at the start of their entry into the land of 6 Canaan; and the Jordan was full with wat[er] towards all its banks and it flooded 7 [with] its water from the month … […] until the month of the wheat harvest 8 […] … […] … […] … Israel”
What is going on with the 7 Weeks and 62 Weeks?
Daniel 9:25 is a verse that has perplexed many for a long time because of the traditional English translation:
“Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore (60) and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.” — Daniel 9:25
What bugs me about this is that I could never figure out why it enumerated “7” weeks and “62” weeks when all we needed to know was “70 weeks until Messiah, or even “69 weeks” until the week of the Messiah. Then I looked into the Hebrew and became even more confused at first because I saw: “7 weeks”, “60 weeks”, and “2 weeks” with the word “weeks” repeated 3 times. The translators added “60 + 2” and simply stated “62” weeks in every single English bible translation on biblehub.com.
However, if you did a more literal translation you would see the following:
I interpret that Hebrew as follows:
“Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah|Prince shall be seven times 70 weeks (490 years). On the 60th Jubilee, a second group of sevens (another 490 years): the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.” — Daniel 9:25
The first group of weeks, 490 years, takes us to Messiah, he was killed in the midst of the 70th week. The 70th week ended in 33 AD. Many think he was killed in the middle of the week, so around 31 AD. Almost everyone agrees with the following interpretation for the first coming of Messiah starting in the 5th month of the seventh year of the king (Ezra 7:8)
What most don’t realize is that there was a second command to rebuild issued around 1535 AD, which just happens to be on the 60th Jubilee exactly as Daniel described. Notice that Daniel 9:25 (NASB) says “ it will be built again, with plaza and moat, even in times of distress.” The second decree explicitly specified the plaza and moat. See my earlier videos/post for more information about the second decree.
The decree by Sultan Suleiman I, which is etched in stone on the temple mount in Israel, supports both my interpretation of Daniel 9:25 and the 1406 BC crossing of the Jordan. The first coming was for the Messiah, the second coming is for the Prince to be crowned King of Kings.
What about Another 62 Weeks in Daniel 9:26?
Daniel 9:26 goes on to refer to 62 weeks again, this time it doesn’t insert the word “week” between the words “60” and “two/twice/second”.
And after threescore and two ‘weeks’ shall Messiah be cut off… — Daniel 9:26 KJV
Note that when reading from right to left, “cut off/the end” comes before Messiah. Without punctuation this can change which sentence words are associated with and this will be critical to understanding the major revelation that follows next. With the context we gathered above I would like to propose the following interpretation of the Hebrew for Daniel 9:26
And after the 60 (Jubilee) and [the] second group of (70) weeks (490) [is] the end.
The Rapture Hidden in Plain Sight!
This next discovery in Daniel 9:26 blew my mind, praise Yah! First lets review the typical translation:
And after threescore(60) and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. — Daniel 9:26 KJV
The NIV, NASB, NLT, AMP and many others have a translation similar to the following.
After the sixty-two ‘sevens,’ the Anointed One will be put to death and will have nothing. — Daniel 9:26 NIV
It didn’t make sense for the Messiah to have nothing. The phrase “will have nothing” or “but not for himself” seemed out of place. But once you put the Hebrew words in place (read from right to left) then it is plain as day what is being said.
Messiah will vanish/take/rapture to him a nation of holy people. He will destroy the people of the ruler to come, the end thereof with a flood/abundance of desolations unto the end of the war as decreed/determined. — Daniel 9:26
The thing that tipped me off is that the word for “have nothing”/”vanished” is the same as Genesis 5:24. That is an unmistakable rapture reference.
Other uses include Gen 37:29, “And Reuben returned to the pit; and behold, Joseph was not in the pit (vanished from the pit); and he rent his clothes.”
And as thy servant was busy here and there, he was gone. And the king of Israel said unto him, So shall thy judgment be; thyself hast decided it. — 1 King 20:40
For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be. — Psalms 37:10
For the wind(spirit) passeth over it (man), and it(man) is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more. — Psalms 103:16
The context of Psalms 103 has massive rapture connotations. It talks about his mercy and separating our sins. Lets look at a bit more of the Psalm to get a feel for the rapture context.
As for man, his days are like grass
he blooms like a flower of the field;
when the wind (spirit) passes over, it (man)vanishes,
and its place remembers it no more.
But from everlasting to everlasting
the loving devotion of YHVH
extends to those who fear Him,
and His righteousness to their children’s children
to those who keep His covenant
and remember to obey His precepts.
YHVH has established His throne in heaven,
and His kingdom rules over all. — Psalms 103:15–19
After seeing all of these verses use H369 associated with the rapture, I wondered if the word “nothing” was associated with the rapture of Elijah. Take a look at this:
And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me. And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not (see me), it shall not be so. — 2 Kings 2:9–10
Clearly my rendition of Daniel 9:26 brings much clarity and I believe it is consistent with what the rest of the Bible teaches.
Covenant with the Many
But wait, there is more. I was reading an english translation of the Aramaic translation of Daniel 9 and something jumped out at me.
And he shall confirm the covenant with many for seven weeks and half of seven weeks, then he shall cause the sacrifice and gift offerings to cease, and upon the horns of the altar the abomination of desolation; and the desolation shall continue until the end of the appointed time; the city shall remain desolate. — Daniel 9:27 (Dr George Lamsa Bible, Aramaic Easter Peshitta Translation)
Every other translation I have ever seen reads something like…
“And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease”
But the Aramaic translation says “seven weeks” and “half of seven weeks”. So I wondered what that would mean and then it hit me like a ton of bricks.
Seven weeks and half of seven weeks is about 73 years, which represents the time from Yeshua’s birth through the destruction of the second temple when the sacrifice and gift offerings ceased. After Yeshua’s sacrifice, the blood they sprinkled on the altar became an abomination; therefore the temple was destroyed and made desolate. The desolation would continue until the appointed time (60th Jubilee!).
Yeshua’s ministry and purpose was to come and strengthen/renew the covenant with the many/multitude of His people and at the end of 7 and a half weeks of years to cause the sacrifice and gift offerings to cease.
So why is Dr George’s translation different than every one else? I decided to look deeper into the Hebrew and was shocked to see that Dr. George makes far more sense and that the English translations are inferring 3 references to the word ‘week’ when the word ‘week’ only appears two times and it inserts this “3rd” reference between the words “one” and “half”. However, looking at the Hebrew, it clearly reads 7 times one and a half weeks.
This realization blows up a large volume of teachings that claim that the Antichrist will confirm a 7 year treaty and then stop the sacrifices in the middle of the treaty. The book of Daniel has truly been sealed up until the end!
Summary
Putting everything together, I believe the following is what the most critical passages in Bible prophecy actually means.
70 Jubilees are determined upon your people and upon your holy city, to finish the transgressions and to make an end of sins and for the forgiveness of the iniquity and to bring in everlasting righteousness and to fulfill the vision of the prophets (e.g. Jeremiah) and to give the most holy to Messiah — Daniel 9:24
“Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah|Prince shall be seven times 70 weeks (490 years). After the 60th Jubilee, and the second group of sevens (another 490 years): the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.” — Daniel 9:25
And after the 60 (Jubilee) and [the] second group of weeks (490 years) [is] the end. Messiah will vanish/take/rapture to him a nation of holy people. He will destroy the people of the ruler (anti-christ) to come, the end thereof with a flood/abundance of desolations unto the end of the war as decreed/determined. — Daniel 9:26
And he shall confirm the covenant with many for seven times 1.5 weeks (73 years), then he shall cause the sacrifice and gift offerings to cease (Temple destroyed 70 AD), and upon the horns of the altar the abomination of desolation; and the desolation shall continue until the end of the appointed time (60th Jubilee); the city shall remain desolate. — Daniel 9:27 (Dr George Lamsa Bible, Aramaic Easter Peshitta Translation)
What this uncovers is the fulfillment of two prophecies that were previously unknown. The first prophecy is prediction the exact year the second decree to rebuild Jerusalem would be issued (60th Jubilee) and the second prophecy is the exact number of years from Yeshua’s birth until the destruction of the temple during which the covenant with the many was renewed (the cross). Lastly, this clearly shows the rapture of his people!
Furthermore, this decimates mountains of theology around the anti-christs 7 year covenant with many, rebuilding of the temple, starting sacrifices, and then stopping them at the midpoint. As far as I can tell the tribulation is only for a time, times, and half a time (3.5 years) and it starts on the 70th Jubilee in the Fall of 2024. Everything hinges on the proper dating of the Jordan river crossing and establishing the true Jubilee cycle.
